A few words from Frikkie

Reflecting on the year gone by always fills one with a sense of nostalgia.  For me, reaching the milestone of turning 50, it has been a very special year.  Having founded Highline 25 years ago, it is a sobering fact to realise that I have dedicated half of my earthly years and all of my adult years to this company!  Invariably, this year, I am reflecting not only on the past year but also on the history of Highline because these milestones in one’s personal, as well as in a company’s life, are traditionally the point where one takes stock.

The conclusion that I have reached, is that I have learnt immensely over the last 25 years.  And being able to apply this knowledge to the next phase of Highline’s existence, fills me with a sudden excitement and enthusiasm for the future!

I also realise how incredibly blessed I am by the individuals that have decided to play this game with me. Our efficient core leadership is loyal and growing in skill, knowledge and stature every year. It is also reassuring to know that every member in our team is on top of their game and fully comprehend what it is going to take to make Highline successful over the next 25 years.

The continued investment in new systems and technology is slowly starting to bear fruit, and because of these advances, I am proud to see how the whole team seems to be stepping up.

This year, our beloved Springboks have done us proud by winning the Rugby World Cup.  May Highline do us proud in the years to come by winning over the world!
